A common practise among software developers is leaving
secret entry channels "backdoors" in their codes, this is to allow themselves or
anyone knowledgeable to get into the system at a deep-seated level than an
ordinary passive user. These backdoors allow programmers to update or
troubleshoot, when other entry point may have been exhausted.
Smartphones have a share in the unique set of entry points that make quick and instant changes, they are referred to as secret codes. These numeric-symbols gives you access to perform diagnostics test and access to hidden features on your device. Secrets codes, as a matter of fact is not exclusive to smartphones but as long been part of the feature-phones and the most archaic-phones you can think off before, the bandwagon of smartphones especially, on the Android platform.
Below is a list of secret codes common to all Android
platforms. Be careful though, make sure to know what you want achieve with the
codes, as the codes may make significant changes to your Android device
configuration.

NOTE: Once you apply code, you get a prompt screen asking you to click on “Reset phone” button. So you get a chance to cancel your operation.
18. * 2767 * 3855 # - This code is used for factory format, and remove all files and settings including the internal memory. There also need to install the firmware (Delete everything from the phone).
