Today am going to be sharing with you this quick fix for
your BlackBerry. I first notice the error message "Uncaught exception
java.lang.NullpointerExce" on my Blackberry with the OS 7.0 after a soft reboot. This error message has an
exclamation mark in the box with the error message and it left me with no option
but to press OK. Within myself I felt this was not okay, so I ask around about
the issue. This is what I found out.
The error message is a Java (OS) problem which is
usually caused by a corrupted file and possibly an application.
How to Fix
There are two ways to fix this error:
1. Check for a operating system (OS) update for your
device. To update your device click here to see the simple steps
2. Another way is to follow this steps in the exact
order.
Remove the battery from the phone and wait for 20
seconds, while the battery is still out, plug the phone to your wall charger,
then place the battery back in and turn the phone on.
Feel free to use the comment box below especially, if
you need assistance.

Each time I remove and re-insert my battery I get the error message (just as shown above). However, the malfunction on my device is the email setup option. When you get to the email icon in the setup menu and selct it, it doesnt respond. Owing to this, I am unable to configure email on my device. Please what must I do, because the process you described doesn't seem to restore the problem.
