How To Manually Configure Android Phones and TABS in Nigeria

The Android device is designed to work with many mobile operators around the globe. In Nigeria it works
fine on all the GSM service providers. When you insert a Sim Card into an internet enabled device normally the service providers PUSH the internet configuration settings or parameters to that device except for China Phones.

Android devices like Samsung, LG, the trending Tecno, HTC, Sony, Acer and others cannot be configured over the air (OTA). Thus, Android devices has to be manually configured to connect to the internet. Its quite very easy, follow the simple steps below:

Step1: Press Home , press Menu , and touch Settings to open the Settings application.

Step 2: Touch Wireless & Networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.

Step 3: Touch an existing APN to edit it. Or press Menu  and touch New APN.

Step 4: Enter the APN settings applicable to a service provider as shown below by touching each setting that you need to edit.

Step 5: When you’re finished, press Menu  and touch Save.

Step 6: If you have created a new APN, touch it in the APNs screen to start using it.

It is however note worthy to "enable data access over Mobile Network" especially when not connecting to the internet via wi-fi.
