Airtel and Glo gave it a common name (Me2U), MTN share and sell and Etisalat
called theirs easy transfer. The service is all thesame. The service allow
a prepaid subscriber to transfer airtime(credit) to another prepaid subscriber
on thesame network provider. Airtime transfer can be done on all the four
GSM providers in Nigeria.
Airtime transfer is a convenient way to recharge another subscribers line.
Airtime transfer eliminates the problem of looking for recharge cards,
scratching and punching in the long recharge pin to send to another subscriber.
The sender can choose to transfer an amount within the main account balance, it
is secure because it is pin/password protected. If you are convince your pin has
been compromised, you can change it.
Airtel Me2U Airtime (Credit) Transfer
The service default pin/password on Airtel is 1234. However, it expected that
you change your pin to prevent unauthorized transfer from your line.
How to Change Your Airtel Me2U Pin/Password
To change you pin send: PIN [Space] 1234 [Space] New Password to 432. Your
completed text will look like this: PIN 1234 7779. 1234 is your default pin,
7779 is an example of the new pin you choose to change to. A notification will be
sent to you via SMS that your new pin is 7779.
Transferring Airtime (Credit) on Airtel Nigeria
To transfer credit send: 2U[Space]Airtel Number[Space]Amount[Space]PIN to
432. You will be notify via SMS if the transfer is successful. The airtime
beneficiary will also be notify that the relevant airtime has been credited to
his/her line from your mobile number.
Note: There is a service charge of N10 on each successful transfer. Therefore
a minimum of N11 is required to transfer airtime on Airtel Nigeria. A subscriber
can transfer any amount and transfers are not reversible.
Glo Me2U Airtime (Credit) Transfer
To use Me2U, it has to be requested by the customer via SMS. Activate the service
by sending: Act to 131. The service will be activated within 24hrs. When activation
has been done, you will receive a notification that service has been activated. The default Glo Me2U is
00000.
How to Change Your Glo Me2U Pin/Password
To change 00000 default pin on Glo Me2U dial: *132*00000*New Pin*New Pin# and
send. For instance, if you like change to 77799 dial *132*00000*77799*77799# and
send. You will be notified that your password change is successful.
Transferring Airtime (Credit) on Glo Nigeria
To transfer on Glo dial the USSD *131*Glo Number*Amount*Password# and send.
The Glo number is the airtime beneficiary number. To input the beneficiary
number, remove the first zero, that is, 805, 705, 807, 707 etc. instead of 0805,
0705, 0807, 0707.
For instance, to transfer N200 to subscriber 08055557777, dial
*131*8055557777*200*77799# and send.
MTN Share and Sell
Share and Sell as the name implies, you can share/sell airtime from your
prepaid MTN line to another MTN prepaid subscriber. The share and sell service
by MTN Nigeria has a default pin of 0000. It is expected of you to change the
default pin against unauthorized transfers.
How to Change Your MTN Share and Sell Pin/Password
You may change your pin via SMS or the USSD command code. To change 0000 pin
on MTN share and sell via SMS. Send the SMS to 777 in this format: Default
Pin[Space]New Pin[space]New Pin.
For instance, to change your pin to 7779, the SMS will look exactly like
this: 0000 7779 7779 and send to 777.
If the SMS link is down you can make use
of the USSD command, dial: *601*Default Pin*New Pin*New Pin# and send. A
notification will be sent to you, when your default pin has been successfully
changed.
Transferring Airtime (Credit) on MTN Nigeria
To transfer airtime on MTN via SMS compute like this: Transfer[Space]MTN
Number[Space]Amount[Space]Pin and send to 777. For instance, to transfer N200
to subscriber 08036447670 when your pin/password is 7779, compose you text like
this: Transfer 08036447670 200 7779 and send to 777. In a short while, you will
receive a notification requesting that you confirm the transfer. Confirm the
transfer by sending Yes to 777.
Transfer can also be done via USSD code dial: *600*Beneficiary
Number*Amount*PIN#. For instance, to send N200 dial: *600*08036447670*200*7779#.
A notification will be sent to you that your transfer was successful.
A cumulative amount of N50000 can be transferred per day. A single maximum
transfer of N6000 and a minimum transfer of N50.
Etisalat Easy Airtime Transfer
Etisalat easy airtime transfer service can be used by a prepaid subscriber. A
prepaid subscriber on the network can transfer airtime to another on the
network. Airtime transfer can be done only from the main account balance.
How to Change Your Etisalat Easy Airtime Transfer
Pin/Password
The default pin on the service is 0000. Changing you pin can be done via USSD
code. For instance, to change your pin dial: *247*0000*7779# and send. Note
that this password will be used to protect your line on other services on the
network.
Transferring Airtime (Credit) on Etisalat Easy Airtime
Transfer
Airtime can be transferred on Etisalat network via USSD code, in this format,
*223*PIN*Amount*Etisalat Number#. For instance, to transfer N200 to subscriber
08097737271 dial: *223*7779*200*08097737271# and send. For a transfer to be
successful a minimum must be retained in the main account balance after
deducting the amount you want to send.
Last Words
In case you forgot your pin/password, or you got barred for inconsecutive
pin. You may need to call your service provider customer care and request for a
pin reset, your pin will be reset back to the default pin. Also, note that
transfers are irreversible so always double check the beneficiary number.
